albinoAID artist Trond
Ytterboe (ex Notodden Blues Band) and his new stellar band The Trond
Ytterboe Band are to play The 18. International Notodden Blues
Festival together with founding member of Fleetwood Mac, Jeremy
Spencer.
On Tuesday April 19
the Notodden Blues Festival released the full program for their 2005
event on a press conference at the Muddy Waters Blues Club in Oslo.
As a special surprise for the media Jeremy Spencer was flown in for
a short exclusive appearance.
Jeremy Spencer, who
left Fleetwood Mac in 1971 to never return, performed Elmore James'
"Madison Blues" and "It Hurts Me Too" for the
media together with the Trond Ytterboe Band.
After hearing Jeremy
Spencer practise with the band and see them play the short concert
it's easy to state that Jeremy Spencer is a gem on the blues scene
today. Very few can come even close when it comes to performing
classic electric guitar blues. His singing is as strong as ever and
he has developed his slide tecnique to an even higher standard than
before.
Jeremy Spencer and the
Trond Ytterboe Band will play two days at the upcoming Notoddenfest
- August 5. and August 6.
